FDOT to hold meeting to discuss St. Augustine drainage system project
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation will host an open house to discuss a$4.2 million project to improve drainage in downtown St Augustine.
FDOT engineers plan to place a five-foot-wide drainpipe to replace the outdated version that’s already underground.
This pipe will start on King Street and goes all the way up to the Bay Wall. The project also includes adding a masonry wall, sidewalk, and bike path.

Revamped hemp bill ready for House floor without THC caps
Changes were promised to the hemp bill in the House, and the bill sponsor delivered ahead of the Infrastructure Strategies Committee meeting.
Lawmakers approved the changes and the overall bill unanimously in what is the measure’s final committee stop. Thus, the version that will be heard on the House floor will be significantly different than the original filing, stripped of language regarding THC caps and synthetic derived cannabinoids.

PENSACOLA, Fla. -- A pair of bills in the Florida legislature would regulate the hemp industry, but many across the state say the current proposal would kill the industry altogether.
Senate Bill 1676 and House Bill 1475 would ban marketing products to minors, and set firm rules on how much THC can be consumed in hemp products like delta-8.
